The four series

Series determine the feature set and the electrical requirement. Model codes read as size and shape first, series letter last — 7LU is a 7-foot lounger in Ultra, 6RP is a 6-foot round in Plug & Play.

Valor Ultra series hot tub

Ultra

Top of the line. Dual pumps, the highest jet counts, upgrade LED package and cascade waterfall standard.

220V · 50a · 2 pumps
Valor Comfort series hot tub

Comfort

Essential's layouts with more horsepower and jet pressure. Stainless steel jets and Direct Pressure Therapy standard.

220V · 40a · 3hp pump
Valor Essential series hot tub

Essential

The flexible tier — the widest choice of seating and depth, and the only series that converts between 110V and 220V.

Plug & Play

No electrician needed. Ships with a 110V GFCI cord, CD Ozone and upgraded wrap insulation standard.

Jet totals here include the 1" ozone jet, matching the individual model pages in the 2025 catalog. The features-by-series chart in the same catalog lists each total one lower and breaks the ozone jet out separately.

Full comparison

All fourteen models, sorted by series. This is the table to hand an electrician or measure a pad against.

ModelSeriesSeatsLengthWidthDepth Dry weightCapacityJetsVoltsAmpsHeaterPump(s)
Dry weight is not the load figure. Add water — about 8.34 lb per gallon — plus occupants to get what the pad or deck actually carries. A filled 7LU is roughly 3,340 lb before anyone steps in.
04

Electrical

Three configurations across the line. Settle this before delivery day — a tub set in place with no power can't be filled, started or demonstrated.

Comfort220V hard-wired40a4kwRequired

Plug & Play110V, GFCI cord included15a1kwNot needed
The 110V trade-off is heat, not jets. A 1kw heater puts in about a quarter of the energy of the 4kw. On a convertible Essential, running 110V means slower heat-up and slower recovery after a soak — the same tub on 220V behaves differently.

Wire gauge, run length, disconnect placement and permit requirements are the electrician's call and vary by jurisdiction. [add your local guidance here if you want it on the page]

Site prep & access

The base has to be level and rated for the filled weight. Grass, dirt, gravel and pavers set on sand all settle, and a settled shell flexes.

  • Concrete pad — level, extending past the cabinet on all sides. [thickness you spec]
  • Decks — must be engineered for the filled weight from the table above; get it confirmed in writing before delivery
  • Equipment access — leave working room at the equipment side for service. [clearance you require]
  • Gate and turns — measure the narrowest opening post to post, and the tightest corner on the route
  • Overhead — eaves, limbs, gutters, and no power lines above the tub
  • Round models — the 7RE and 6RP don't stand on edge the way a square shell does; plan the route with that in mind
Verify pad and clearance figures against Valor's install manual before publishing. Those are liability numbers, and this page shouldn't say anything the paperwork in the box doesn't.

Common questions

Which models don't need an electrician?
The three Plug & Play models — 6SP, 5LP and 6RP — ship with a 110V/15a GFCI cord. The five Essential models will also run on 110V with a GFCI cord, but on a 1kw heater instead of 4kw.
What's the difference between Essential and Comfort?
Same shells and layouts in the overlapping sizes. Comfort steps up to a 3hp pump with higher jet counts and runs 220V only; Essential uses a 2hp pump and converts between 110V and 220V.
Which model has the most jets?
The 7LU, at 53. The 7SU follows at 46, then the 7LC at 40.
What are the round models?
Two: the 7RE (Essential, 84" diameter, seats 6) and the 6RP (Plug & Play, 78.5" diameter, seats 5). The 6RP is the lightest tub in the line at 280 lb dry.
What fits a small yard or a three-person household?
The 5LC, 5LE and 5LP are all 84" × 62", seat 3 and hold 240 gallons — the same shell across three series at three power levels.
Is Bluetooth available on every model?
On Ultra, Comfort and Essential as an option. Not on Plug & Play.
Where are they made?
Michigan. The line is ETL listed under Intertek control number 113579.
